Round table: Parliamentary oversight role on national budget execution

South Sudan financial year ends on the 30th of every June, giving way to a new financial year beginning on the 1st of July. 

The budget adoption is a process that should be inclusive of every spending agency. Upon adoption of the budget, parliament monitors the execution of the budget and imposes the budgetary discipline. This morning Yach Garang featured Hon. Nathaniel Perino Oyet. 1st deputy Speaker TNLA, Hon. Changkuot Bichok, Chair of the Specialize committee for Finance and economic planning and Ms. Lorna Merekejee executive Director for SSUNDMOP to discuss the topic.
