The Roundtable: Victims of conflict related sexual violence

Rape has often been used as a tool of war all over the world. Some of the women who undergo this ordeal live the experience throughout their lives when they get pregnant in the process.

This Saturday Yach Garang focused on women and girls who become pregnant because of conflict related sexual violence and children born under those conditions here in South Sudan. On the panel, he featured Hon. Aya Benjamin Libo Warille, Minister of Gender, Child, and Social Welfare, Jonny Baxter, British Ambassador, Sheila B. Keetharuth, UNMISS Senior Women’s Protection Advisor and Wanga Emmanuel Marko, Project Manager Rural Development Action Aid.
