The Round Table - Political Parties Act

Article 8 the Political Parties Act 2012 which has recently been reviewed and passed by the Reconstituted Transitional National Legislative Assembly established the political Parties Council which is charged with registering and de-registering political parties and make sure that the political parties adhere to political parties Acts.
The political parties Council is expected to level the playing field for all political parties in an effort to advance democratic participation of the political parties in South Sudan. Freedom of association which the law gives is one aspect of advancing democratic participation of the political parties.
