Episode 2075, Oct 08, 2022, 08:40 AM
On the 4th of August this year, the Reconstituted Transitional Government of National Unity announced a two-year extension of the transitional period due to end in 2023, in a new "roadmap" to the peace deal.
According to R-TGONU, the decision was taken to address the challenges that impede the implementation of the peace agreement.
The roadmap was rejected by a section of the international community – more specifically TROIKA nations – saying the process that led to the extension was not inclusive.
The Troika nations comprise of the United States, the United Kingdom and Norway.
Three months down the line after the extension, what has been implemented?
Listen to the full discussion.
Enjoy the program.
