On 4th of August 2022, the Reconstituted Transitional Government of National Unity R-TGONU announced a two-year extension of the transitional period known as the “new roadmap" to the peace deal, due to end in 2023.
According to R-TGONU, the decision was taken “to address the challenges that impede the implementation of the peace agreement". Nearly three months down the line, the Round table discusses progress made so far.
