Persons with Disabilities call on South Sudan to sign rights convention

Today is the International Day of Persons with Disabilities and as we all know life in South Sudan can be a challenge to navigate for anyone however for people living with disabilities the challenges can sometimes seem insurmountable. According to NGO Light for the World, there are currently 1.2 million people living with disabilities in South Sudan, around a fifth of whom have impairments that have been caused by violence. Despite this great need the rights of people living with disabilities are not yet fully protected by law in South Sudan.
