Birdsong, Support From Sight Scotland, & Making Sport Accessible
Episode 82, Apr 28, 2023, 08:00 AM
The Happy Hour is here and once again, Claire and Paulina bring you upbeat music, great conversations about sight loss and wellbeing, and Paulina shares a random scientific-ish fact about sensitivity to loud sounds,
But first up, Allan hears from Frankie at British Blind Sport about their new training sessions to help organisations from across the private, public and 3rd sectors, make their sport and leisure activities accessible and inclusive for blind and partially sighted people of all ages.
Paulina speaks with single mum Amanda and Sight Scotland’s Debbie, to hear how one, perfectly timed call helped Amanda get back on her feet.
And finally, Andy Shipley returns with his latest Sensory Reflections. This month he wants us to listen out to more birdsong and also abstain from cutting grass!
