Cowering alone in the dark this week is Emma Reeves. An Olivier and Writers Guild of Great Britain Award-winning writer, she works across screen and stage. Her TV credits include The Worst Witch, android drama for CBBC Eve, which she co-created, The Demon Headmaster, The Dumping Ground, Young Dracula, My Mum Tracy Beaker and Hardacres. Her stage work includes her acclaimed adaptation of Jacqueline Wilson’s Hetty Feather, Wave Me Goodbye and The Worst Witch which won the Olivier Award for best family show in 2020. Emma’s adaptation of Jacqueline Wilson’s My Mum Tracy Beaker (for BBC1 and CBBC) received a record-breaking reception, reaching 2.1 million streams on iPlayer in its first three days and won the Best Children’s TV Episode at the Writers’ Guild Awards in 2020.
