They called him "Satan Claus." Not as a joke. As a warning. The Duggar family raised their children inside a system where Santa was the enemy, Cabbage Patch dolls were demonic, Disney movies were burned in the backyard, and Christian rock music was taught as spiritual corruption. Therapy was evil. Mental health medication was forbidden. Birth control was banned even when doctors said another pregnancy could be fatal. Josh Duggar's abuse of his sisters was handled inside the family for years. Joseph Duggar allegedly admitted to his accuser's father — and according to the arrest affidavit, nobody contacted law enforcement until that father came forward six years later. Locks were reportedly found on the outside of the children's bedroom doors. A family spokesperson called the charges "totally unrelated."
