Caleb Flynn Called February 16 THIS in a Message to His Mistress

The night before Ashley Flynn was shot in her bed, her husband sent his mistress a message about the next day, and the Caleb Flynn trial opened with a prosecutor reading it out loud. Prosecutor Paul Watkins told the jury there were more than 100,000 messages between Caleb and the other woman in the year before Ashley died. Her theory is a rush to judgment: police found the affair, then built the case to fit it. The state's answer came from the house. The crime scene agent said the garage door was damaged from the inside while it stood open, both locks unlocked, a refrigerator against it. A tracking dog found no trail leaving and the only prints in the dew were the handler's. The coroner described two close-range wounds behind Ashley's ear while she slept. Caleb said he was lying down with his daughters; the bottom bunk was packed with stuffed animals. The girls are on the witness list and will testify in the same room as their father, because the judge ruled prosecutors offered no evidence a screen was needed and a defendant has the right to face his accusers.
