Trial Of Caleb Flynn Day 5: Botner Reveals Her January Deadline

Alleigha Botner's testimony in the Caleb Flynn trial laid out a months-long series of ultimatums. She said her texts through November and December 2025 repeatedly told Caleb to leave his wife, Ashley Flynn, before Christmas or lose the relationship with Botner.

Christmas Eve passed. Botner testified that she gave Caleb another deadline: January 11. When that date arrived, she said she sent a message saying the deadline was over and she was moving on. Caleb responded January 12 that he was sorry and understood it was over, according to her testimony. On February 3, Botner said Caleb contacted her again with lyrics from a song he had written for her.

Caleb has pleaded not guilty to charges including aggravated murder in Ashley's death. Prosecutors allege he killed Ashley and staged a home invasion; his defense maintains the home invasion was real and investigators focused on him too quickly.

For jurors, these messages establish a timeline of pressure, separation and renewed contact. They also give both sides something concrete to argue about: what Caleb's return to Botner meant as February 16 approached.
