This comes as #SouthSudan joins the rest of the African continent in celebrating Africa Youth Day – a day set aside by the African Union to recognize the potential of the continent’s young people.  November 1st also marks the start of the Africa Youth month that puts young people at the heart of all conversations on the continent’s development agenda. In South Sudan the month will be marked by town-hall conversations, the launch of a business magazine and public lectures. The commemoration of the day is centered round an AU campaign dubbed “1 million by 2021” which aims to create direct opportunities for one million young Africans in the areas of education, employment, entrepreneurship and engagement.
